Discovery Committed to Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) put forth by the United Nations is a call to action to end poverty, improve health and education, reduce inequality, increase economic opportunity and preserve our natural resources. Discovery’s RISE program supports this framework for people and the planet and is committed to implementing these goals through our mission to Reduce Inequality and Support Empowerment.

The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They serve as a universal call to action by all countries to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030. The 17 SDGs are an integrated framework that address multiple problems and recognize that solutions must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.
